I was just curious if i should change from the default voltage setting of 1.5v AGP for running the Radeon 9800 PRO. The other settings on my mobo are 1.6 and 1.7. Should it be done and is there any benefit?

There isnt any advantage to adding more voltage when OCing the card itself...but like in my case...my 9800 Pro has issues when running at 1.5v's at 200+ FSB...needs to be set at 1.6v's (card still OCes the same)...this (odds are) is a AGP voltage issue so it needs more voltage to run stable after 200FSB...this is the only sensible reason I have found for the AGP voltage options...

Oh yea...if you do run it past 1.6v's for long periods of time...make sure to have sufficient coolling...more then stock...are you could over heat the card from the higher voltage...higher voltage = more heat...

Same here, I had to bump it up to 1.6V for anything over about 180FSB or else some of my games would bomb. This was on the Asus A7N8X, wasn't necessary on the Abit NF7-S.
