I hear if you enable this feature in BIOS, it can fix discoloration in add-on cards such as MPEG and Capture cards. Now, if I enable this feature, will my Geforce3's Phillips chip see the difference? Is it considered an add-on card, or is it integrated into the board?

Ok here is the skinny on it.

The VGA Palette Snoop option in BIOS is for supporting older graphics or video cards, especially those that use the Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) video format. This option modifies the information delivered from the standard Video Graphics Adapter (VGA) card to the MPEG video card. By "snooping" the palette of colors, the video signal is more likely to be properly colored. You would want to do this if the MPEG card was not displaying color correctly when video is being displayed.

Yeah... The VGA Pallete Snoop option will make your BIOS check out the VGA pallete to help correct incorrect color problems. If you are having a problem of getting the wrong colors, enable this option. If not, keep it off. I hear it slows the computer a little.
