I know this is my 3rd thread today guys, sorry.

But I had to tell you that I am borging a Computer store ( ~15 x 2.8+ P4's) this coming Thursday. These computers run at all times. The guys that run/own it are my friends and today we got into a good convo about folding. Needless to say they bit, and I reeled them in.

This should help with the 'slump' that we seemed to have hit huh? ;)

Real quick, I am heading to the stickies in like 3 seconds, is there a screen saver version of F@H. That's what they really want, so there is something interesting on the screens at all times.

Thanks guys!

yea, the one that runs in the bottom can run as a screensaver, but fair warning, it does mess with quite a few games... so I can't say that I recommend it....

just fair warning

but g/l, I'm ordered a new comp for work today for someone who needs to fold, I mean work hard

Screensaver version is probably the most inefficient, especially in a store. Go with the console service!!!

Yeah, go for th service install. I've never gotten the screen saver version to work properly for me. It's a little buggy.

That sucks:(

I may have to work it a little to get it going in the store then because they were really leaning on the 'we want something on the screen' aspect of it.

What exactly does the screen saver do?

I've got service install on the 14 rigs that crunch for me.

Well you can still use the screensaver version. Inefficient folding is much better than no folding at all!

Use the graphical install and have the window open for something to look at :)

How about you setup the One-click and adjust it to use 95% of the CPU and then install the screensaver using 5% or so. That way it is doing something as well as looking like it's doing something.

Anyway to have the screen saver report what the service is doing?

Nope.

What if you just ran the service with EMIII on all the pcs? They'll be able to see what its doing, and it'll be on the whole time.

That is what I was thinking, but it's still not what they were envisioning. I thin I am going to try the 95% on service, 5% on Screen saver as was suggested by fast420a.

Then again I just might be able to talk them into running the service w/o and screeny. I will definately do EMIII on them all so they can track whats going on.

Either way I am really stoked because at a conservative estimate a 2.8c does like 800ppw. Assuming that they are only 2.8's all around (they are all between 2.8~3.2 though), that puts an addition of roughly 12,000 ppw. :p yeah~ that's some folding baby. I know it's nothing like Nik, Max or Fishy, but hey, I am at 466 and climbing! ( I hit 10,000 points just like 20 minutes ago teheehee )
