View Full Version : help for celeron 600 to run on abit's BM6

hi does anyone able to run a celeron 600 (1.7/SL4PB) on abit's BM6 motherboard? i used to run a celeron 366 @ 550 on this motherboard, Now, i just brough a celeron 600. Even after i had updated the lastest BIOS, i still couldnt make it to boot. nothing happen when i turn on the power. hope someone could give me a tips.. thanx

I think there's nothing to do, like you can check looking the Faq's on the Abit website about your Mobo :-( don't support Celeron cC0 1.7v.

Do you wanna change your C2 600 cC0 1.7v with mine cB0 1.5v that works rock stable @900Mhz?
but I think that we are too far :-)

I would highly recommend that you check Abit's website (http://www.abit.com.tw) for the latest BIOS updates and compatibility issues with the CPU and the motherboard. That is an older board, and the voltage requirements for the newer processors are lower. If you do not ensure that your board supports the CPU, you could fry the CPU trying to boot it.
