Look at this. It came with heat spreaders. my mobo should be here tomorrow so i'll see how it does.:D

Makes me wonder if the memory can only make the PC2400 rating with the heat spreaders on.
I wonder if your brought cheaper memory and put heat spreaders on them would that obtain similar performance?

No. I have my Crucial at the PC2400 speeds without the spreaders. I was thinking of getting spreaders or adhereing some heat sinks to the RAM and see if that gets me over this mark.

My comment was not about any other make or type of memory other than the Mushkin PC2400, I just find it strange for a company to give something away that is not needed, and I was just wondering if the mushkin actually required the heat spreaders to obtain the speeds required to obtain the PC2400 rating or can it obtain this speed without them

$72 from mushkin for 256mb.

Well I have been have a big problem with it. It won't go to 150fsb at all, no matter what the timings are. I e-mailed mushkin and they said to remove all the cards from my system. I did that and nothing changed. The highest I was able to hit was 147fsb. I'm going to call them and see what they say. If I can't get this any higher I'm going to send it back and maybe get some corsair pc2400. If anybody has some would you please tell me how fast you have gotten it to go. And if anybody can help me with this it would be great.
