Whats up everyone ,

I've seen people with different types of AMD chips some are
AVHJA-Y , AVIA-9 , AVIA-Y , AXIA-1 and I've seen AXIA-Y there are probablly more models but these are the only one's I remembered seeing.

I'm getting a 1.2(266) once my mobo is finally in stock and when I get mine I want to make sure its the best one for me. I don't want the locked version I suppose thats good enough for me (unless the is other significant differences between the models).

So if you know how to make sence of this please let me in on it or if you have a link to AMD were they explain the differences that would be terrific.

These are the codes used by AMD to identify the production run.

It is generally accepted that the AXIA code with the letter Y as the first digit on the next line have the most potential to attain a higher speed. Following the "AXIA-Y" would be the AXIA" with a 9 as the first digit on the next line.

Considered by some to be equal to the AXIA code chips are the AVIA chips with the same variances for the next line letter / number.

Newer on the scene are the "AVHJA" codes and many are reporting good results with these as well. The same has been reported as far as the Y / 9 on the next line as above.

Keep in mind that a lot still depends on the luck of the draw, as some have reported lesser results with some of these chips as well.

I noticed you have a 1 ghz athlon and 1.2 both AXIA-Y so did you request these or what. If yes , I would like to know where you got these cpu's.
