I think all DVD writers can also read. Mine does, made by NEC. But through looking I didn't see one that can't burn cds also.

You weren't too specific, or clear but: dvd burners will be able to burn cd-r, and cd-rw, almost all of them.

DVD burners can read dvds and cds, and cdrws
