I have a dead Athlon just lying around, it had been running fine for a while in a FreeBSD box of mine until a prob developed with the power supply, after which the PC stopped booting. Tried a new CPU and the system lived again, so the old CPU is toast.

Any ideas on what to do with the old one? Keychain? Shoot it? :D
 
i got a pile im my desk drawer. if you make a keychain make sure the bit is sharp. could have a train run it over. play baseball with it. dip it in acid. burn it. sell it on ebay ( some one there will buy a chip even if knowing its dead ), theres a few
 
yes sum1 was selling a faulty 9700 pro for 41 pounds and he even said that it was fully broken and it was dead u can get a brand new 9700pro for 110 pounds!! lol it will probs sell for 60
