hey guys, I need your help to decide which video card I will get..

ATI 9800 pro for $200 or ATi 9800 SE for 140 ? do u think it worth it to get ati 9800 SE and save the $60 bucks for some else.. or should I go with the pro... thanks in advanced

The 9800 SE is junk, definetly the 9800 pro. They aren't really even in the same league - at $140 the SE is overpriced, while the 9800 pro is a deal for around $200.

Go with the pro, the SE has NOTHING on the Pro. $200 for an awesome product versus $140 for something that will be outdated in six months. Definetly, Defiently go with the Pro, you'll love it. Trust the OC forum posters :D

Well the 9800 pro will also lose a bit of its shine within 6 months probably too... the r420 is coming isn't it?

That won't make the 9800pro any less of a card of course, but it will likely be overshadowed a bit (hopefully).

Yeha just spend the extra money on the pro :) it'll save you some upgrade time ;) you'll be able to use the pro a bit longer than the se :)

SE: POS for $140.00. Castrated 9800, and probably paired with a 128-bit memory bus (maybe 256-bit, but no guaruntee).

Pro: For $200.00, it's nearly the top-end card and offers pretty good performance and image quality. A much better investment. :)
