My dad is looking to buy the best of the best. What case should he get? I don't want him to spend too much on the case though, he'll buy a 530 fortron or so.

Well I doubt my dad really cares if his case is styling :D

I'm just looking for a case that'll hold 4 HD's have decent airflow and plenty of room for WC. Is there any cases that have the MB higher up so that you can place the pump at the bottom?

Chieftec/Antec and their clones would work great. You can take out the two 3.5" bays to make room for a double 120mm radiator and still have room for 4 drives in the 5.25" bays.

$65 + a hell of a lot in shipping - though you would expect that on a 35 pound case ;). The full-tower Chieftec cases are good cases if you can get over the weight issues. Directron may offer lower prices (after shipping) then gogocase.com .

Chieftec Full Tower cases are great, especially if you're on a budget :). The full tower cases are perfect for watercooling, with a bit of modification, and are dirt cheap. The main issue is probably the vertical PSU mount, but this is easily fixed with a hack saw and a hand drill. The drive bays are removeable, and there's plenty of room up front for a radiator.

They are, however, generic as anything, and definetely don't win the prize for looks, or uniqueness.

I love my lite on fs-020. It was something like 110+ shipping. It has a 120 in and room for a nice heatercore in the front and 2x 120s in the back. It has a ton of room, 4 opticals, 4 hdds, and a floppy. That may not sound like a lot compaired to the full server antecs but I's nice.

I got me a X-superalien, chieftech clone, and it is great for wc, already got my wc laid out inside it and there it plenty of room to put the heater core wherever. Can mount it on the top, rear, and front. Get a chieftech clone or a chieftech and you will be happy. But the lanli pc-70/71s are great, would love to have one.

I wonder if we say they look "generic" looking because it's so common on so many iterations and sizes and we are getting tired of it. A bit old if you will.

When analware debut this case a few years back, albeit a smaller one, a lot of people were posting about how cool "area-51" was. They painted all sorts of colors like "martian red" "cosmic blue" etc.

Anyway it has one of the best air flow of any case with it's basically open air "gill" stucture up front and is a modders paradise. Only change I'd like to see is 120's instead of 80's
