Weird thing my Matrox card does

I have a Matrox G450 eTV video card. 32 MB DDR, TV input and output. For no reason I can determine, the monitor will switch off like it does when power management kicks in. What's strange is it does this while I'm actually using the computer, and the only way to get the monitor to turn back on is to reboot.

I added a bigger heatsink and now I have a fan blowing at it, but the problem still occurs now and then.

Help?

Have you used this monitor with another video card? Does it still click off?

If NO, then it's the Matrox card... see if there's a setting in the advanced portion of the display properties that might be enabled, that would be my only guess. e don't have a lot of members with Matrox cards, but maybe one someone will stumble on this that has more Matrox experience.
