Cant get 1606 stable so my stable options are above. For gaming what do you think??

Higher FSB will give you a faster AGP bus speed and will allow faster gaming, but only a few %. Most people prefer a higher FSB as to multiplier, you need to use both and see for yourself.

I was wondering if your machine will pass the prime95 test at 1.55

My one giger fails at 1435.

It runs for as long as I let it. My longest time is 6 hours, but I only use it for a couple hours right after I change something.

Higer FSB is better. The Athlon thrives on higher FSB. 158 is really high, wish I could run mine that high. Is your system stable? Sandra2001 burn-in utility is a good one to run tests on.

I'm failing the test at 1435

Should I increase core voltage? Will that help??

Thanks.

I would increase the voltage if you can and still keep temps under control? What errors are you getting?

I was getting rounding errors.

core voltage 1.80 @ 1435. 15 mins of prime would cause errors

I lower the cpu to 1300 and it ran pefectly.

then i fired it back up at 1435 with a little more core voltage.

1.825 @ 1435. Ran prime all night with no errors. I think i'm stable now.

Maybe i'm at the limit of this core. I'm pretty pleased with the speed for a 1 giger.

Load temps are 48c. But I'm in a nutty heat wave at the moment.

Room temps are 25c even with 8000 btu ac running 24/7
