Here's a question: With all the people who put some kind of casing with freon or some other refrigerant directly on the cpu to get greater speeds only to wind up frosting the chip to death soon there after has anyone ever tried to put freon on a chip in a measured, controled manner? What I mean is has anyone ever put a container housing a specifically measured amount of refrigerant on a cpu? Would a cpu frost up if you had a home made heastsink with a small chamber in the middle of the sink with one drop of freon in it? I suspect it would when powered down but what if the machine was on 24/7? Is it possible to control the direct application of a refrigerant to get a cooling effect without the negative of condensation and frost?
