So far i this is the system i am building
ASUS 875P P4C800-E DELUXE
Intel Pentium 4 2.8C GHz
Windows XP Professional

What ram should brand and type should i get?
I do plan to overclock.

Get what Asus has tested from there QVL list on their website. Otherwise what may happen is hardware conflict and instability. I Have the same setup as you. I am running the Kingston KVR40072C3A/512. So far, I cannot complain with its performance.
