I Just got 2 AXIA 9 1200s but I don't have a working motherboard around. What can I expect out of these with water cooling. 1600 is what I am aiming at but how likely is that at 1.85v? I will probably be running them on Iwill KK266 motherboards. Once I get the thing up and running I'll do the voltage mod to get a little more speed. I am not very enthused about the situation since I just had my A7V133 and a brand spankin new Epox K7T Turbo go bad. I keep killing motherboards but I know it isn't me.

My AXIA 9 1.2 does 1.4 at defualt voltage with air cooling and hits 47*C under load (course that's with Asus probe so who knows what my actual temps might be). I haven't actually really stressed it too much yet since I'm still upgrading my system and modding my case. I'm guessing that with a little juice and a bit of luck this one will do close to 1.5 air cooled. I also have an A7m which is holding me back. Eventually I'm gonna re-arrange the bridges and make it a 1.33 (or send it to an early grave, we'll have to wait and see) =]

If my chip is any indication of how other's like it perform then I'd say you have a real good chance of getting them to 1.6 with water cooling. Infact, I'd say you could probably hit 1.6 aircooled with the right HS/F. =]

Well, the AXIA 9 is not the best stepping typically so at stock voltages (<= 1.85 volts) I'd expect 1450, maybe 1500.

More voltage would equal more MHz, but im my opinion there are diminishing benefits at voltages over 2.1 volts.

Would an AXIA Y or a AYHJA be better? I thought the AXIA 9 chips were one of the best AXIAs.

I got a AXIA 9 2 days ago. I'm currently able to run it @1.43GHz, and the voltage is @1.85V. At full load I hit 43C, with a Taisol CGK760092 (I use a 30 CFM fan on it) and AS2.
Now if I could get this 8KHA to use 1.95V, i'm sure I gould get 1.5GHz....

Y or K steppings are the best for what I have seen and in the CPU databases on most websites. 9's for the most part will have alot of trouble hitting even 1.4, some do, but most don't. But as you well know, all chips are not equal. I wish you luck Bender!!

1.33 ghz shootout (http://www.cluboverclocker.com/reviews/cpu/amd/tbird_1330_shootout/)

club overclocker did a shootout with 1.33 ghz athlons with different cores and the axia K core came in second...with the most obvious in first ayhja......they were all real close in benchmarks scores but when it came to overclocking the ahyja came out on top by a slight margin.

My 1ghz TBird does 1350 default voltage and I have had it to 1400 at 1.85 MBM so as soon as it starts to cool off this fall I am going to see what it will realy do.
