These are my specs

Athlon 2500xp 333FSB
Asus A7N8X-X Mobo
512MB Adata DDR 400
Gigabyte GFX 5200

My current cpu is running at the default 11*166fsb (1.826Ghz).
I don't have a hardcore cooling system, but only 3 case fans. My CPU is usually running at mid 40C.

I'm wondering if i can increase the multiplier up to 12 without any problems. Would i require any extra cooling or require any other changes in the BIOS.

What type cooling you got?If it's stock, then you might want to invest in another heatsink. You could up your fsb to 200 and set your multiplier to 10 and get 2000 mhz,and have a 400 bus. You'll probably have to up your vcore some also.WATCH TEMPS CAREFULLY.I feel safe with a temp up to 55c.You need to run prime also and check for stability.

Read these forums, take your time with overclocking, and enjoy.
