View Full Version : Using VGA to DVI adapter
I'm having trouble with rolling, wavey lines on my new LCD and one of the suggestions I read on another site said to try using the VGA - DVI adapter that came with my 9500pro and plug into the DVI port on the card. When I do this all I get is 'no signal' on then blank screen. What am I doing wrong here???
This card is going back and I'm moving to nVidia if I can't get decent video quality out of it...*sigh*
you need to change the vid signal to output through the DVI port ... go to display properties and set the DVI output as primary display, then shut down and use the dvi - vga, connect the monitor to the adapter, and power up ...
Thanks...that worked (now I feel stupid) LoL. The rolling lines are gone too but the video quality isn't quite as sharp...too bad. Pick my defect I guess...or wait for the next gen part from ATi of nVidia to rollout and wait for the price of the 9800pro/XT to come down.
hmph .. what brand/model of LCD is it? and are you using the native resolution @ 60hz?
