View Full Version : How do I do Voltage mod for the ASUS A7M266?

I think I have the correct Ohm resistors for the voltage mod now all I need is a page explaining where to solder and what to do. Plz reply thx , btw if any one knows where to get a bios to adjust the multiplier on the asus a7m266 plz post it also.

Can my front side bus effect my monitors life spand ? I have it @ 148 rite now and I don't want my monitor to blow It has died before and I replaced my sylvania 19incher with Samsung SyncMaster 955DF Iam currenly also runing my refresh rate @ 100 when my monitor only supports 85Hz max is this all ok ? I plan on uping my frontside bus to like 172 , if I dont get a gold finger to adjust my multiplier on my asus a7m266.

Here ya go http://www.athlonoc.com/voltagemod4.php . Be sure to use a pot or trimmer instead of a fixed resistor. Not all boards may require the same resistance.

Thanks :-) I have the OHMs and petentiometer I need now all I gota do is get a pointy soldering iron :-) I also emailed asus requesting they make a bios to adjust the multplier or send me a bios maybe they will hehe that would rock.

I just notice your sig. You may want to work on your cooling before you crank up the volatage too far. You don't want to turn your CPU into a crispy critter.

What should I do then hehe Im @ 1.55Ghz rite now @ 1.9Vcore and max I/O voltage 2.9 and im @ 43c on cpu and 90f on mobo
