I was about to buy the mx duo but then I saw the reviews on newegg about how it was so heavy. I talked to my friend and he also agreed that it'd probably be too heavy for cs. So now I'm wondering what mous, cord/cordless, would be good for a gamer.

The Razors are good, and so are the MS intellimouse explorer and the MX510.

the mx duo is not heavy. I use the mx700 all the time. Best damn mouse i ever used.

Another vote for the Mx700. Best pointing device I have ever used. It does have more weight but you only notice it for about the first night of use :)
BTW a Ratpadz mouse pad works real well with an optical mouse.
Good Luck.

i LOVE my mx700, and I'm an avid CS player. you get used to the different feel eventually, and in the long run it's made me a better player. if you don't like heavy, don't get a boomslang, as they're even heavier than the mx700.

i've gone from a mx700 to a ms intellimouse explorer 4.0 and i have to say that the intellimouse is MUCH lighter at the cost of the cord. Both mice are great though, when i was first usign the mx700 i loved it. The weight never really bothered me because you'll get used to it, but once i switched to the intellimouse, i like it better because of the wider main buttons i like change. Its also much much lighter.

I had also owned a mx500 and i forget how heavy it was, it was probably inbetween the intellimouse and mx700, but it has a internal weight. I believe if you take it out then it'll be around the same weight as the microsoft intellimouse exp 4.0
