I just ordered a watercooling kit from Dangerden with a 172 watt pelt. I am having no luck finding a power supply that meets the requirements for the pelt,(yes I tried ham radio places) Dangerden said I need a 24v 8amp or above ps. I've also heard that an adjustable unit is preferred. Does anyone have any input on this? Thanks

11 amps at 24 volts would be better. The Astron VLS (http://www.astroncorp.com/w28.shtml) series are expensive but feature front panel controls.

Most of the switching PSUs are internaly adjustable down to 22 volts. A search on Ebay may turn up a decent PSU.

I have a variable voltage dc power supply rated at 25 amps from 5-17 volts(i think?). The advantage is u can tune the peltier to maximum efficiency. i used to use it to run triple peltiers on an old celeron 400 @672.I no longer use peltiers (straight water now).So if u are interested in this item, send me an email. kwcrosby@home.com
