Just got a GeForce2 in from auction (gonna have a happy son this weekend) and want to make sure I got what was advertised. :) It's supposed to be an MX.
I have found out that it is a Jaton card. nVidia GeForce2 MX on processor with F32801.01 0052A2 S Taiwan. 82118A/V2 above processor. UPC sticker has 3DForce2-MX 32M and serial number. 4 RAM chips: line 1 - Samsung 040 ; line 2 - K4S643232C-TC70.
And this is the snipped auction ad:
nVidia Geforce 2 MX 32MB AGP with FAST 5.5ns RAM
This card is the original MX series, which is faster than the MX200 & MX400 cards which you see a lot of auctions at low prices. This card has a 350MHz RAMDAC and supports resolutions up to 2048 x 1536 and will handle AGP bus up to 4X with Fast Writes.
Google search on the 82118A revealed Jaton and their PDF "manual". (BTW, when did pamphlets become manuals? I used to peruse manuals when they were 2 inches thick... when things were much slower and less complicated. Now it's faster, smarter, better but no damned docs. Ahem... sorry. ) From what I can get out of that, this is an MX, but I would appreciate any input anyone may offer. TIA
