I wrote a Topic on 08-03-01, stating that i'm starting out with:

PIII 600E, FCPGA
Abit BE-6 II, rev. 1.20
Super Slotket III
Alpha PEP 66
Arctic Thermal
256mb 133 Generic

The advice I recieved from Senior Member Jon, was to burn my CPU in by increasing the Voltage to about 1.80 or 1.85 (Default is 1.70). Then keeping a close eye on the temps and after a couple of days bump the FSB to 133 and see how stable I am.

I currently have my Voltage at 1.80. I have been using Sandra's Burn CPU for two days. I'm not too sure how often during the day or how many times I should be using this program. My temps are ranging from 35C - 36C idle. While burning or playing games, my temps range from 35C - 38.50C. This seems a little high to me.

I would appreicate any additional advice.

39 c is a wonderful temp, in fact, you shouldnt really worry unless it gets over 48.....

AS long as the temps are not causing lock ups then your fine but if your still having some instability getting your temps a little cooler can help with stability. As far as your burning in its best if you leave your favorite program running 24\7 or atleast all day. The amount of burn in time will vary from one CPU to the next some may only take a day and some may take a month thats why i like a program like Seti you might as well kill two birds with one stone, remember the more you run your program the faster it will burn in.

Mine has 800E-->872 OC'd and been running hot for more than a year >40 C on same Mobo. It turn out that thermal pad on HSF melted. Scraped it and put Artic Silver II, tons of fans- 6 total (open case). temp went down to around 31-33 idle, but took me overnight to have it stabilized, boot to win2k and been running at 904...
