I'm currently running an unlocked :p Barton 2500+ at 10.5 x 225 on an EPox 8RDA+ with Apacer memory (2x 256MB) set to 3-3-3-11. CPU voltage is set to 1.75 but reads 1.79 in USDM (Epox's diagnostics util) and memory voltage is 2.77. Air cooling, 45/46C idle and around 49/50C loaded.

I'm trying to get to 230. I can boot successfully, but it's not stable. Should I up the CPU voltage to 1.8? Increase memory voltage? Or have I maxed out this little sweetheart?

IMO, you should get better cooling before upping the voltage much more. You very well may be able to push it higher, but I would lower the temps first.

Thanks a lot Steven, that was a great idea. Setting the multiplier to 10, I was able to push the FSB to 240, though I had to put the CPU voltage at 1.8 to do so, and even then it spontaneously rebooted while running Sandra's burn-in test. Temps were starting to creep uncomfortably high as well -- 50 idle, 54 load.

I really liked my Sandra performance wizard numbers at 240 though:

CPU Arith: 12898
CPU Multimedia: 46947
Memory bandwidth: 6573

Still, I'm not at all ashamed of my scores at 230: 12368, 44963, 6300. I gotta get my temps down a little though, I'm running 50/51 idle.

I bet if I could get the temps down (I'd like to see <45 idle and <50 load), and boost the CPU voltage to 1.9, I could run 240 or 245 stable. What do you think?
