Hi. I have two computers networked wirelessly on a 802.11g network.
Is there any other way to transfer files easily besides using the shared documents folder?
Thanks in advance.

if you share the hdd's on each computer you can then laod 'My Computer' and do,
Tools>Map Network Drive.
Select the drive that you want to use and then you can simply use the hdd like you would the one/s in the pc that you are using :)
You can share whatever folder or drive you want to share.

Thanks for the replies.
If I share my entire HD's, does it make it more vulnerable for unauthorized users to brwose through my computer? What if somneone else in my apartment building logs onto my wireless network, etc?
Thanks.

well then set up your access point to only allow the mac address's of your own computers to connect and make sure you only connect to your own network with those computers. That way you can share a folder or harddrive and not worry about others accessing your computer. ALso turn off ssid and turn on your encryption.....

you can choose for only computers on your network to have access to the files :) that way not just anyone on the internet have see/have them :)

I've actually done this already, but I'm just super paranoid.

when you create the network share, just name it with a $ at the end. if you have a "documents" folder you want to share, then just call the share "documents$" and then it should not be visible thru the network neighborhood which helps to make it a bit more secure since not just anybody can connect to your network (if somebody does happen to gain access to it) and map to the network share.
the $ trick helps from a security standpoint... you will just need to remember the name of the share. so when you enter the share to map the drive, you will need to enter it like "\\computername\documents$". that is what i do with my system.
