i have a compaq motherboard and the model is 06e4h and right now i have PC100 memory in it and im looking forward to buying more memory but what i want to kno is...can motherboards that take Pc100 memory take pc2100 & up???? in other words will it accept DDR RAM

Sorry, but PC100 is SDRAM, so it won't accept DDR memory. (In fact, they aren't even pin compatible, so it won't fit.) You'll have to augment your current PC100 with PC100 or PC133 (which should also operate at PC100 speeds just fine.) -- Paul
