Amd Thoroughbred Question

I just found out using the CPU-Z prog, tha i have an 2600+ Thoroughbred cpu... i always thought i had an barton

So i was wondering is the above thoroughbred crappy to overclock are r the baartons better?

bartons have 512K L2 cache
t-bred have 256K L2 cache

the barton is the same as the t-bred core but just has a larger cache

I have a xp2600+ thoroughbred, unlocked, though, and I can get 2.39 stable with pc2700 mem. Looking to get some pc3200 and see what this baby can really do.

You were right, the Barton is internally the same with the exception of (in some cases) a different VCore and 512K L2.

2390 MHz is an excellent above average Thoroughbred overclock.
They average 2.3 GHz, not 2.4 with average setups.
