Right, i've had a disscussion with some people on here about overclocking an AMD K6-2 350mhz processor. I took some great advice(thanx guys!)and I couldn't wait till I got home to overclock my P.C.
When I overclocked it to 400mhz, it rans sweetly!, but I tried putting up the clock mutiplier, from x4, ( which is what it is at 400mhz) to x4.5 , but I got a warning beep, and the P.C wouldn't boot. I tried to lower the mutiplier, but that reduces the mhz, please help, it is running sweet at 400mhz, and Can I get it to 450mhz without a warning beep. I have a mobo with switches one dals with the FSB and another deals with the clock mutiplier and voltage. What do I do? please help me someone!!!

try raisig the multiplier to 4.5 like you did and then raise the voltage a bit. maybe this will help you boot at 450MHz

so ur saying that if i put my mutiplier up 2 x4.5 and then raised the voltage by half aswell to compensate, ur saying it should work?

I suggest that you work up the voltage by .1v and test it each time until it is stable. I wouldn't put the voltage over 2.7v regardless. There's been a million posts on K6's recently. I'd read through all of them to see what others are doing.
