I just can not find one anywhere, I just bought what I thought was a DSL modem but it is a router. No store anywhere sells it, but they do have modems that are just for cable internet connection. I am going through Qwest and I'm getting a 1.5Mb connection.
The modem that they recomended was a Action Tec G701, what I have is a Linksys 4 port router model NR041. Qwest wants 50$ for their modem.

yeah each company uses their own modems, stores dont sell them because everyone uses different ones.

Hey there. Im up in Boise here. Go to ebay and snag a cisco 678, and either myself or someone else on dslreports.com can help you set it up. Qwest supports the 678 still, as there are a large number of users who use it. The main reason why i recomend it, is due to problems such as lockups and what not wit the Actiontecs.
