Refurbrished Video Cards

Has anyone ever bought a refurbed video card? A friend of mine advised me to buy (when i'm ready to buy my video card for a new system) a refurbed card becuase I can get it cheaper. He says his personal experience with refurbed video cards is good. He's bought somehwere around six, and only one was bad or something.

Anyone have any stories? Advice?

i have bought 2 refurbrished cards from newegg no problems and got great deals
card 1 gf 4 mx440 8x 128mb ram $50 that was a wile ago
card 2 ati 9600 256mb ram $67 about 2 weeks ago
