I'm new to OC'ing and need some help.

I'm planning to buy a DFI Lanparty NFII Ultra B mobo, but I'm currently using Trancend PC3200 ram.

Specs for the ram:
Transcend® DDR400 512MB 184-pin: PC3200, CL2.5/3 clock, 6-layer PCB.

Has anybody used Trancend PC3200 ram on the Lanparty Ultra B before? Is it compatible for OC'ing purposes?

I'm using a XP 2600+ (locked) and Thermaltake Volcano 12 cooler.

What is the kind of MHz I can expect (stable) with the Lanparty mobo and Trancend ram?

Your ram WILL most likely hold you back. THe DFI mobo can easily hit 230fsb, perhaps even 240-250 with luck. Your transcend ram will not likely hit 230 unless the timings are REAL slow, like 8,4,4 cas 3 and thats even a step. All you can do is test the ram when you get the board.. Use memtest and see how far the ram can go. good luck

TX for the advice......

I've got the possibility to upgrade Transcend ram to one of these:
1. KINGSTON ORIGINAL DDR400 512Mb PC3200.
2. SAMSUNG ORIGINAL DDR400 512Mb PC3200.

This is the only specs I've got on the modules.....

Which would be the best with the Lanparty mobo?

I mean I have always used Kingston for this system and I get a pretty good overclock with it, allbeit it is pc2700
