Hi I got few questions so i'll display them out one by one.

1. Is there anyway to enable the admin account to be visible in the normal mode in windows xp? If u change the apperance to windows 2000 mwthod of course u can type the admin and get it but in windows xp graphical mode that account is not visible unless u went through the safe mode. So can anyone update me how to display it in normal windows xp mode.

2. how to put high securtiy in a standlone computer to prevent anyone accessing from it? what I'm thinking is renaming the admin ac**** to the user account name then encryt the data and will this be enough? If they have a domian system even though can the user keep his/her file not to be seen from the domain admin account if the administrator log in? if so how to arrange that?

well mabye these questions had been answered before but i really need to be updated abt it cause one of my customer wants this to be done in his computer. So all of your help would be much apperciated.

1> at the xp friendly ologin screen press CTRL-ALT-DEL twice and it will bring up the classic win2k style login, and you can enter the admin username/pass in there. or any other acount you want

Assuming you have XP Pro...

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

That site lists powertoys for Windows XP Pro. If you have home edition...

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/home/downloads/powertoys.asp

that is the link for home. Eitherways, on that site, download TweakUI and install that. Start TweakUI, and you will get a two payne window. On the left payne, click on Logon and on the right side at the top, there will be a window which will list choices. There will be checkboxes at the bottom of that list which will allow you to show or hide any user account on the Welcome Screen.

That should do the trick.

The only thing I can suggest about security is to have the account auto-lock when the screensaver comes on, and put on a BIOS password. With a utility I have, I can wipe out ANY user's password in about 30 seconds. However, this trick will not work if the system asks for a password when it starts (aka, BIOS password). Keep this in mind when constructing the system. There may be a lot more required to secure that system, but I hope at least that I gave you something to think about.
