Anyone else having problems with the latest windows patches?

As the subject says, anyon else having problems? My roomate and I have experienced some problems ever since windows updated itself about a week ago. 2 formats and reinstalls later, I'm still getting some problems. The most notable one is explorer crashes for no reason, just out of the blue. I will get a dialog box that said explorer.exe died, and then it will reload it. Also, another issue for me is that windows media player 9 doesnt want to close sometimes. I click the X in the corner, and I can still hear my music. Fine. I open it up again from the taskbar (the music is still playing the whole time), and windows media player pops up not having missed a beat (the progress bar for the song is in the right place), and I try to go to file, exit, and it does the same thing. The media player dissapears, but I can still hear my music. The only way to stop it is to go to the task manager and kill the process. Anyone else having some weird issues since installing that patch? Thanks
