Hi, new to the forums. I've been looking for a thread about an A64 3000 that anyone is running, haven't seen it.
I know it's a common question, but I'm wondering how far y'all think I can push this without crashing.
The mobo came with a great software for OC'ing, just point and click. No dealing with BIOS at all.

My question is how does this sound for performance, and can it get better?
Initial scores:all CPU settings stock, 1024X768, 32bit res.
3dMARK2001- 18,504
PCMARK2002- CPU:6526
Memory:8044
HDD: 1947

Latest scores: CPU @2199.99, FSB220, multiplier 10.0,
vcore 1.525, CPU idle 29c;
RADEON @ 423mhz/376mhz, 1024X768, 32bit
3DMARK2001-20,248
PCMARK2002- CPU: 7177
Memory: 8655
HDD: 1928

For this CPU/chipset, how do ya think I'm doin, and how much more is in here?
And why is the HDD score actually lower?

Thanks for the help, awesome forum!

your 3dmark score is low. i score 19,135 with a 3000 stock 2ghz and 19,700 with a 3200 stock 2ghz. both with a 9800pro 398/338 (stock speeds)

my 3000 tops out at 2.35, my 3200 tops out at 2.51 both on aircooling.

3000 top 3dmark is 22,771, 3200 top 3dmark is 23,600ish.

pcmark hard drive score is not reliable. its always off.

i'd say crank it up til it isn't stable, add a quarter volt, crank more, continue til when you add power it doesn't help anymore. 1.7vcore is fine for these chips as long as you have decent cooling.
