Getting New PC3000 Worth It?

theres a deal on kingston for PC3000 and i was wondering if it would be a good upgrade since i am running my PC2700 at 183mhz/3-3-3-6, would i see a increase in preformance? if so would getting 2gb be good?

Yes, you should see a performance increase, especially if you get bh5 in them. 1gb is more than enough IMHO, unless you decide to run a server or open TONS of window, I can't see a reason you will need 2gb ram, even the newest game don't get anywhere near it.

You could always pick up some KHX value RAM when its on sale. If you get Hynix D43 its essentially PC4000

well i play warcraft 3 which takes up about 500+mb sometimes and i play unreal2k4 also which is also a memory hogger the extra gb would be nice since i usually have a lot of programs opened.
