Has anyone installed some mobile AMD processors in a SMP setup? I'm looking at grabbing a couple of these: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=11420&vpn=AXMH2500FQQ4C to use in my K7D Master-L and I was wondering how the results turned out, and what specifically was required to get these CPUs to run properly and overclock.
Thanks!

it has been done.
What is required is-
1) Breaking the 3rd L5 bridge on both CPU's
2) Doing a socket mod or using TMC adapters to adjust the multiplyer to a high value like 16 or 17.

yup right now its a skinny deal for the K7D's and mobiles.. there are a couple guys working on a hacked BIOS to get cpumsr to work in windows. as for now though, arkaine's idea is the only one feasable. do a socket mod or config L3 bridges to your multiplier (socket mod much easier with the new packaging)
either way, the third L5 must be broken.

I've got the xpm2600s in my k7d. Does that count. hehe

Did you use Arkain's above mentioned methods spldart?

Cut the bridge with an exacto knife and wire modded the sockets for multiplier and voltage.

spldart - are the multipliers below 13x locked?

The weren't for me. In fact I did alot of tinkering around posting at different numbers by bios before finally hardwiring 16x
I plan on doing some more soon as well.
