Hi guys....I have a question for all those experienced overclocking enthusiasts. I have an AMD athlon T-bird 1.4 which is currently overclocked to 1.57 (11.5X 135FSB). I am running this at default voltage. I have tried to reach the 1.6 Ghz mark but I keep getting blue screens and windows protection errors. Before you ask I have already increased Vcore to 1.97 and the symptoms above still remain. If I use CPU setting 12X by 135FSB my bios won't load and I have to reset CMOS to reboot! Does anyone have a reason for this..please help...

For background information I have an AMD recommend PSU (Seasonic 300Watt). However do you reckon I'll need a more powerful PSU. Also what are your voltage settings like from Sandra.

Mine are below:

CPU Core Voltage 1.86V
+3.3V Voltage 3.47V
+ 5V Voltage 4.75V
+12V Voltage 12.42V

Are these voltages ok......

Please help.....

You +5V rail is a little low. This could be causing trouble when you go for 1.6 GHz. My Antec 350W PS drops to 4.89V under load and my 1.4 GHz Athy is running nicely at 1601 MHz (10.5 x 152.5 MHz). Maybe a better PS is your solution.

You might want to consider a voltage mod. It is cheaper than a new PSU.
