HL problem

I was wondering if anyone has this problem

When i exit HL or any of its mods my compter just shows a black screen...and i have to reboot

My setup is in my sig and i'm using DirectX8.0a and the 12.40 detanor driver (the ones on nvidia)

Actually i get this problem once in a while too, its not because im overclocked as it happens at all bus speeds to me. Anyone know the answer?

dont know the problem, try getting new version,
i think there up to version 1.8 now

im not sure if its the same prob but i get a blck screen only in d3d. and i have to use task manager to exit hl. pain right im my butt . then i saw my freind blue screen while exiting max payn and i felt better

I get the black screen, i use Opengl. It cant be 1.1.0.7 i dont htink because this happened with 1.1.0.6. I dont know, it only happens 1x every 2 days or so, so im not too worried.

I have had some issues as well. If you change the display adapter you should be all set. It worked for me.
