According to this link, your CPU is good for 1.4 GHz.

Your temps are too high. Get a better H/S fan.

You have one awesome chip there!! It should go above 1.4 with great cooling. Here is a pic that might help you understand the steppings better.

From what I've seen the "B" and "C" CPU's perform comparably.

I have a 1G AXIA on an A7V133 right and have it running at 1.4G (10*140). This CPU runs neck in neck with the 1.2G AXIA I also have for about 25% less money.

As far as your temperatures, the onboard ASUS Probe has been said to report the temps as much as 10C higher than actual, my experience has confirmed this. But even taking the innacurate readings into account, I think you are right at the upper limit that I would feel comfortable with. I try to keep mine in the mid 50's or lower as reported by the Probe. At this time of year it is becoming somewhat of a challenge though, as the ambient temps have been hovering in the upper 90's with the lows only going to the mid 70's at night for the last couple of weeks. If you aren't experiening any typically heat related problems, such as random lockups or BSOD's and you are running stable I wouldn't be too concerned but I would monitor the temps just be sure. Look for any unexplained increases.

That CPU on that motherboard, should provide you with a very fast and stable system, you should be pleased.
