OEM Warrenties & AMD

Hi. If I go out and buy a CPU with a 30 day OEM warrenty, will AMD still cover the CPU directly beyond the 30 days? I don't think so but I've heard of some people RMAing directly from AMD which seemed strange to me.

Also, if I buy an AHYJA Y and RMA it through AMD will I get one with the same code back? Thanks.

I don't think you can get a warranty longer than 30 days unless you get it at a shop that offers a longer warrenty. TCWO offers a 1 year warranty if you buy a $9 heatsink with your OEM processor. As for the same code I really doubt that you would be guarenteed the same one.
