Well i have been reading alot about buying a block for my north bridge, and I not sure if my pump has enough juice to support it. I bought my system a while ago and i can for the life of me remember if it is the 1048 or the 1250... is there any way i can tell?
thanks

I'm not quite sure but I thought that the 1250 had a 3/4" output connection and the 1048 had a 1/2"?
Either way if your output is less than 3/4" its not the 1250 so you can check it out.

The 1048 is:
Dimensions: lenght x width x height 5.8 x 3 x 4.7 in.
The 1250 is:
Dimensions: lenght x width x height 7.1 x 3.8 x 4.7 in.

The dimensions above look about right....
I have both, incidentally. ;)
The 1250 comes with a substantially larger inlet (to help avoid pump cavitation.)
Edited for correction: My 1048 came from Swiftech a few years back and was already set up for pc use, so I am not certain if they come from the factory with different size inlet/outlet.
As far as your intent- cooling additional blocks:
both will work but if your blocks are of the high-resistance type a 1048 may not provide the best results possible.
It WILL be sufficient, but a 1250 has more "overhead" and deals with high restriction water blocks better.
My 1048 is currently pumping coolant around in a size-challenged mATX system with a water cooled cpu, northbridge and power supply.
Temps are decent although not fantastic.
CPU is an XP1700 TBred B overclocked to 2300mhz in an NForce2 mobo.
Yeah, I think either pump will work. ;)

I remember now that i bought the 1048 because the 1250 was out of stock at every place i looked :( Looks like i might have to buy a new pump one of these days :D
the pump can do it i'm sure, i have the 1048 and i have it pumping up hill about 4 feet then back, and it cooling well
you would just be adding about a foot and a half
i added about 8 foot
it may shorten the life but why buy another if i dont have to
atleast for now
