I'm a little confused on this, anyone who have used them before, is one really different than the other? WD Caviar SE seem to advertise as run faster than non-se one.

But how come the price different is exactly the same? When the SE is superior than the non-SE. This doesn't make any sense
Here are the 2 links to compare:

The SE has 8Mb buffer (versus 2Mb) and i think a longer warranty.
Hardware pricing isn't always logical...

The SE seek time is faster.

Also some of the SE versions may have a 3-year warranty even if the box says it's covered for only one year, but you have to phone WD and request the free upgrade. That was the case with the 80GB SE sold by OfficeMax several months ago for $20 after rebate. To get this warranty with WD's other drives a $15-20 fee is required.
