Ok this is where im am at the moment. 183.3 fsb 2-2-2-5
have voltage @ 2.7
I have Kingston Hyperx 2700 512 meg stick

want to try for 200 fsb
what timings should i try to set it @
and should i bump the voltage up to 2.8 and see how it does?

needless to say this memory looks to bee some BH5 ( i got it about 10 months ago)

My Corsair PC2700 XMS does 192 @2,2,2,5. I've read at newegg.com reviews that it can do 200 at 2.5,3,3,7. 183 is not bad at all for a pc2700.

Raising tRCD (RAS-to-CAS Delay) to 3, and probably tRP (RAS Precharge) may allow you to reach higher clock speeds. Raising voltage and/or loosening timings can help raise clock speeds.

Oh, I forgot one thing. I got it at 181 @ 2,2,2,5 now because it got too hot for my comfort.

I need to put a temp probe on it to watch the temps . I am going to try some more test with the timingd to see if i can hit 200.

I tried 3-3-3-11 and i could not boot to windows but it my have been my 2500 needing more volts .I had it at 1.75 and it would not boot into windows but posted fine. as I type this I am at stock volts on the cpu and it is 38c @ 2014.3 on cpu-z and the fsb is 183.3 running 1:1

I am worried about the pci and agp bus speeds
i want 200 so the agp/pci ratio will be reg.

i am running a a7n8x asus board.

I took off the heat spreader to take a look and sure enough its infineon.

But I still would say that my luck could have been a whole lot worse .

I also have infineon chips. It did 2-3-2-11 @ 200 in my NF7-S with 2.9BIOS/3actual, but after that it seems to crap out. Prime fails in 10-15 minutes @ 210, same vdimm, and 2.5-3-3-11 timings:( I wish I had the skills/balls to do the vdimm mod.

My chip batch is supposed to be set to 3-3-3 @ ddr400, so I guess I'm not doing too bad.

The board auto locks it for you, so run whatever speed you want:)

If I remember correctly, the nf2 locks the PCI bus @ 33. On my NF7 I can adjust the AGP up to 99.

Yep it locks it :)

I just just checked it using the cpuid tool that shows all the goodies .

FSB @ 185 and agp and pci looking good at 33.3 and 66.6

(reboots to set the FSB up a few mhz. :) )

Man, the best I can do now is 2.5-3-3-11:( I hope I'm not killing the chips. I can't afford new chips right now.
