I'd run defrag.
[it looks like an old NT 4.0 box, not very fast to begin with, so they probably didn't even see the slowdown as something unusual]

It still takes me a while to do defrags with norton speed disk. But this weekend i have a shotgun campout im going on, so im going to run virus scan, defrag, and other stuff while im gone.

I actually had to defrag a drive like that at work about a month ago. I started the defrag first thing in the morning and it was only around 12% done at quitting time. Fortunately there was plenty of empty space on the drive and it was Friday. I left it running over the weekend and it was finally done on Monday morning.

I dont know what to say... Its things like this that makes linux more and more appealing.
Is that one of those things where if you hold your face real close to the picture you can see something in it? I'm already picking up the subliminal messages from it's programming.....

Wow, that is somethin'........
Anyways, despie some previouse troubles, I now use Diskeeper 8.0 and it works great! I highly recomend this defragger to anyone, it does the job really well, and really fast. I have also found that it just seems to not get fragmented as fast as when I use the Windows defragger. I am not sure if that is just me or if it positions things on the drive better.
