I know this doesn't really belong here, but I don't have 100 posts because I mostly read/search these boards, so I couldn't post in the general computer section.

Is there a good OC or General computer magazine, someone could recommend to me? I'm looking for something that deals with any/all of the following:
General programing.
C++.
3d Graphics/Animation.
Game Programming.
OCing.
Hardware/Software reviews.
New/Future technologies.
Tip/Tricks for computer maintains and trouble shooting.
And other things on the technical side of computing.

Thanks,

P.L.

i'd try checking out barnes & noble or borders where they have a pretty thorough selection of computer magazines including ones for programming, 3d graphics, etc. for overclocking i'd recommend CPU (Computer Power User). they also come out with a really good quarterly special issue called PC Modder which also has a lot of overclocking related articles. personally i don't buy that many magazines anymore as i find that the forums like this one give me a lot more recent up to date information on reviews/tips/fixes etc. from the forum participants that you really can't get from a magazine. plus they overcharge and double the prices for their magazines by selling them with a CD full of freeware/shareware programs which you can basically download yourself off the internet for free. go figure. well goodluck and keep posting! :)

Thanks, I'll look at that one. I agree these boards are great:) But I need something to read, when I'm not at the computer lol.

I like to read Maximum PC.
the only problem is that it only takes about 1 hour to read,
but alot of the articles are interesting.

at first Maximum PC was great, but after hanging around here for a year it's not that great anymore.(i still read it because i have a 3 year subscription that cost $9)

CPU is a great magazine. much better articles than Maximum PC

I agree. MaxPC is 45 minutes of enjoyment every month or so, and that's it.

I enjoy MaxPC, but do find the info a bit dated.

Great, thanks! I'll check that one out also. Now I just have to pull myself away from the computer long enough to go down to BN hehe

I get so many computer mags from all the free deals we get around here but MaxPc is a good fast read. I like to compare what the mags think is a good PC to what we know is. ;)
