converting mobile to mp become locked?

I read through some messages that said that after you mod the mobile xp to mp that the proc becomes locked? Is this true and is there another mod to keep it unlocked? If your wondering why i want to convert to mp it's because i have a dual proc mobo. Thanks.

No, they are still unlocked, but if you want to have a multiplier higher than 12.5, you need to pin-mod the cpu or use an adaptor.
