I'm purchasing one of those new celerons with the 100fsb. I'm in a dilemma to get an 800, 850, or 900
prices;
800- $54 + $10 ship = $64
850- $64 + $7 ship = $71
900- $79 + $10 ship = $89
clock@ 133 fsb
800- 1000
850- 1100
900- 1200
The 900 looks tempting but it depends on the actual overclockablity. Pricewise the 800 is a very cheap 1ghz upgrade.
I still haven't decided until I look for benchmarks.

Welcome to the fourms
the 900 got an average overclock of 1100 while the 800 got an average OC of 1000

I really want to get a 133fsb out of the cpu so if a 900 can't get it it's out of the question.

I got as far as 1066 with my cel 800, but someone here got past that. I can't remember what they actually got it to, i think it was Lancelot, but i may be wrong.

Is there cCo or cDo stepping on the 900s?

The celly 900 only comes in cD0...which is a plus so you don't have to worry about getting a earlier stepping:D

FrankMasterFlash,
Thanks much! A new celeron 900 and some funky cooling will keep me occupied. I will post results.

I think the best thing to have is a celeron 850
cost is the average
some people in overclocking competition make the worst Overclocking CPU - P4 into the double speed.....1.5Ghz to 3Ghz!
Guess your Celeon can make it to 1200Mhz! (8.5 X 141)
and i think CUSL2-C is the motherboard that you should choose! Asus got the best thing... Otherwise, choose MSI...I think is not bad too

In my case I need some serous cooling upgrade (non water due to space limet in my bedroom). Thinking about a 80W Peltier under my SK-6. Should do the trick. Still running 1133 @ 1.8V.
Prime95 Torture test goes great. 45C (yesterday 46C but that was due to the weather going very warm (about 30C)).
Hey, read the whole post. The celerons look great. Got a 1100 tbird/asus a7v off ebay and best buy said it was defective
Hope I get my money back... anyway, I have an old bh6 w/ a p3 450 in them and its rumbling. I ssee all these 140 and 150 fbs- mine only tops out @ 133. Would you guys till say the 800 or 850?
Thanks Matt
