Wow, got 22996 in 3DMark01 and just over 8 in 03

Sorry, typo there....not 29996, I got 22996

And BTW, that's with AV and Firewall running, haven't turned anything off from Task Manager, either :D

nice, i saw the 3dmark score, and you need to run default settings, otherwise it doesnt compare right, you have set it to 800x600.

Didn't think that mattered.....I'll do it to default, then

hehe im pretty sure you could get 22k if you tried. What have you done so far in overclocking, and tweaking? :)

PhantomTa2

Not tweaked the card yet, the CPU FSB is running at 420, I think.........that's about it

Jimbob7

in that case maybe 22.5k 23k if you push it some could be within reach. (hence the word maybe :p)

Overclock the card if you want to improve your score. got to www.guru3d.com and download rivatuner. That will allow you to increase the clock speed of the gpu and ram. :)

Dont go crazy, just overclock gpu first (or ram) and go up 10 to 5 mhz and then test. a run through a few tests of 3dmark01 will do. When you think you have your highest stable speed for the card, loop some 3dmark2003 that will make sure that you are stable. :)

Didn't know that worked with ATI's?

Sweet score. Have you overclocked your RAM? Maybe lower timings or increased DRAM clock will help. Good luck on your quest to 22K-23K

I'm used to seeing about 4 settings, but on this board, (ABIT KV8 MAX3), there's about 8, maybe one or two more or less, but more than four...and as I don't know what they all do, I ain't touching it as I've already killed one 64 board and only just bought this one

Running 3dmark01 at 800*600 makes a big difference in your score. I have seen differences of 7-9%.

Still a good score though. Now to start tweaking and overclocking your computer.

Nice score. You should be able to do more with tuning & tweaking. I started @ 16000ish & now I have 21411 with 3Dmark @ defalt tests. It scores 24926 with 3d mark settings turned down. This is my bottom rig in my sig. Good Luck.

Ctrl-Alt-Delete and in Task Manager set the priority of the 3dmark you are using to Real Time. I have also heard setting the refresh rate to 60hz and 1024*768 so it is at the settings that 3dmark uses.
