This is probably a fairly simple question, but I'm needing to know simply on the issue of safety for my machine. My machine is running 2537 mhz(169X15) right now and all my rails seem to be fine except for the 12V. This is according to MBM. It runs at 11.49 with this OC and I'm wandering if this is safe for my machine or not. I'm running a 300 W antec right now, and am upgrading soon. But the question lies for the moment. Is it ok to run this high of an OC with a low 12V like this?

Thanks in advance.

NF7 Voltage read points (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=30893)

Get the +12 voltage read points from that thread...use a meter to get the exact voltage the +12 is at on the MB...do not go by a software program...and if the +12 is actually running below 11.7 min...then you have a choice...

1. Crack open the PSU case and see if there is any hidden adjustable pots so you can raise the +12...if not, then

2. Go buy a better PSU...

the NF2 MB's req. a 350w PSU...so this could be the issue...and if running a 9800...then those also req. a min. of a 350w PSU...

Honestly...it would probably be in your best interest...and the systems...to go get a bigger and better PSU...

Option 2 it is then. I don't have a meter to use, and I think I need a bigger and better PSU anyways. Thanks for the reply.

Actually, the lowest you can safely go on the +12 is 11.4. Below that you start running the risk of undervolting stuff too much.
