Need a couple for my MSI K7D Master L dual motherboard. Would like something that will oc well at very low voltage. Summer is here in California and my room temps are going up very quickly.

I see so many steppings and dont understand what is overclocking the best.

anyone order any 2600+s from excaliberpc lately? if so what ones are the best results?

This is mostly likely your best bet

AMD Mobile Athlon XP2600 Processor(Tray) (IQYHA:0351MPMW)
$105.00

Personally I woul just get the cheapest mobile 2500+ you are running a dual system, so you won't be able to max the chips out.

The 2500+ have been beating the 2600+ from the start.

I second that check sig :). It's the same stepping. Will run @ 250x10 @ 1.75V Prime stable for 24hours (and will loop 3DMark2k1se all night). Full Load 40C.

XP2500 (AQYHA:0410TPCW) gets my vote...

a few people at XS and a few people here have a 410 and they are getting between 2.6 - 2.7 on air...and run cooler at more voltage

The 2600's average around 2.6 - 2.65 on air...can run at 2.6 between 1.75 - 1.8v...but to get 2.65...takes around 1.93v+...and also seems to hate anything past 49c for long...(I run a 2600 from Ex)...

Thank you so much for saying that.
Every time i say over 45C is too hot, more often than not i get flack.

once again, more proof stable computer run 45C or cooler

I got a 0410 TPAW and I'm wondering what's the dif with the TPCW

currently in the process of OCing it so don't know if it can affect OCing ability

thank you everyone for the suggestions. i'm looking for 2300mhz overclock with very low voltage with processors that can handle heat

My 2600 does 2.2 at 1.45v (default)...and 2300 at 1.55v...Obsoletes 2500...the one I linked above...does 2.3Ghz at 1.5v...

My system:
NF7-S rev 2.0
SLK-900A w/92mm tornado
2x256 Kingston Value Ram
9800 Pro (412/365)

Obsoletes:
DFI LP rev b
WC setup
2x512 Kingston Hyper X
9800 Pro (412/365)

SIDENOTE:

I still out perform his system when running at 11x248 vs 11.5x225...I get about 100 to 200 more marks then his setup...
