Forgotten Password In XP Pro (HELP)

My son created a password on his computer which is running Window XP Pro and has forgotten what the password is. How can I gain access into the computer, this was the admin account?

I just use locksmith from winternals.

do these steps::
1. reboot hold f8 while rebooting
2. select safe mod start up
3. go to control panel
4. user management
5. the snowflake iconed account
6. select delete password
7. reboot normally
8. your in... set it to a password you know :)

No need to format;) There are many ways to either replace or retrieve the password:D
